Dr. Proctor R. Anderson is originally from Chicago’s North Shore. He earned his medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School, and following graduation he completed an internship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. For the next four years, he continued advanced training in his chosen specialty, orthopedic surgery, as a resident in several Northwestern University affiliated hospitals.
As an orthopedic surgeon, his work is dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases and injuries of the musculoskeletal system. His practice is focused on knee and shoulder arthroscopy and hip and knee replacement surgery. He finds great pleasure in being able to apply state-of-the-art proven procedures to restore mobility and help patients return to an active lifestyle. He strives to provide each patient with as much information as possible to ensure they make an informed decision on treatment options. He has been providing excellent service and care to the patients of Northwestern Center for Orthopedics since 1977.
In addition to his extensive medical commitments, he enjoys fly fishing, golf, reading and spending time with his family.
